God’s Salvation Plan for Mankind

The Holy One, blessed be He, created the world with us— all man and the Jewish people—in His mind. As the prophet Isaiah declares, God “formed us in the womb” (Isaiah 44:2), and the Scriptures affirm that “Before He made the earth, the Lord had us in mind, set His love upon us” (Ephesians 1:4, paraphrased). From the very beginning, God desired intimate fellowship with Adam and Eve, walking with them in Gan Eden (the Garden of Eden).

But when Adam and Eve chose to disobey God by eating from the Tree of Knowledge, sin entered the world. This was exactly what God had warned against. The consequence was separation—breaking the holy relationship between mankind and God, just as the Torah teaches that sin distances us from the presence of the Holy One.

Because God is both loving and righteous, He cannot overlook sin. The Torah clearly teaches, “the soul that sins shall die” (Genesis 2:17), and so humanity came under judgment. God’s righteous anger was upon us because sin brings death and separation from God.

Yet in His great love and mercy, God did not abandon His people. He chose to redeem us through a way that would restore our relationship with Him. God sent His only Son, Yeshua (Jesus), to become fully human, to live a perfect Jewish life under the Torah, and to offer Himself as the ultimate korban (sacrifice) on our behalf.

Yeshua bore the judgment that we deserved, paying the price for our sins once and for all. Through Him, God made a way for us to be reconciled to Him—not by our own works or sacrifices, but by His grace and mercy. This is the fulfilment of the promises God made through the prophets—the Messiah who brings healing and restoration.

As Isaiah 53 says, “He was pierced for our transgressions… by His wounds we are healed.” God’s plan was always to bring us back to Himself, to renew His covenant of love with His people.

We have nothing to add to God’s perfect sacrifice—He has done everything for us. Through Yeshua (Jesus), God’s only Son, the price for our sins has been fully paid. Now, we can confidently return to the presence of the Holy One by simply believing in Yeshua and asking Him to forgive us for not trusting Him sooner for our reconciliation with God.

As John 3:15-18 teaches—the beautiful “Love of God” passage—God’s love for the world, including the Jewish people, is so great that He gave His only Son so that everyone who believes in Him will have eternal life:

“That everyone who believes in Him may have eternal life… For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him. Whoever believes in Him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son.” (John 3:15-18, NIV)

God’s desire is not judgment, but salvation and restoration. By faith in Yeshua, we are forgiven, made whole, and welcomed back into a loving relationship with the Holy One.
