Now that I am saved

WHAT HAPPED

You are a child and friend of God; This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone, a new life has begun! (2 Corinthians 5:17 the Bible)

Come now, let’s settle this, “says the Lord.” Though your sins are like scarlet, I will make them as white as snow; though they are red like crimson, they shall become like wool. Isaiah 1:18

What Now?

You need the Word of God to grow and understand who your Father is; who you are and what your purpose is.

Now that you realize how kind the Lord has been to you, put away all evil, deception, envy, and fraud. Long to grow up into the fullness of your salvation; cry for this as a baby cries for his milk 1Peter 2:2-3

You are part of God’s family – Find a church where the Bible is central.

Plant yourself in a good church, it is where God has chosen for us to live and discover more about our new life.

Planted in the house of the Lord, they shall flourish in the courts of our God. ( Growing in grace) they shall bring forth fruit in old age; they shall be full of sap( of spiritual vitality) and (rich in the) verdure [of trust, love, and contentment]. Psalms 92;13-14

Now expect

Expect unconditional love from you Father, peace in your life, as you keep following and learning about your Father God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit. Begin to renew your mind with the Word of God

An important reminder

Do not depend on feelings. The promise of God’s Word, the Bible, is our authority. We lives by faith in God’s Word

Fact: God and his Word

Faith: Our trust in God and his Word

Feeling: The result of our faith and obedience

As Christians do not depend on feelings or emotions, but place our faith (trust) in God and the promises of his Word

Taking your next steps

The moment you received Christ—as an act of faith and free will—many things happened, including:

1. Christ came into your life (Colossians 1:27).

2. Your sins were forgiven (Colossians 1:14).

3. You became a child of God (John 1:12).

4. You received eternal life (John 5:24).

5. You began the great adventure for which God created you (John 10:10, 2 Corinthians 5:17, and 1 Thessalonians 5:18).

Can you think of anything more wonderful that could happen to you than entering into a personal relationship with Jesus Christ? Thank God right now for what he has done for you?

  1. Tell a born-again Christian
  2. Read your Bible daily
  3. Find a church
  4. Pray daily

Becoming a child of God

GOD created YOU and planned your birth. He intense LOVE you, He has an amazing future prepared for YOU.

Sin is what keeps you from knowing Him and His love at the moment – BUT – there is a solution!

Jesus died on the cross to forgive your sin.

You are important to God. He is not interested in holding sin against you. He is interested in drawing you to Himself. This is the good news of the message of Jesus Christ – Jesus died in your place, for your sin, so that you could have the opportunity to believe in Him and have a relationship with God.

For God so loved the world that He gave His one and only Son so that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life, for God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him ( John 3:16-17 NIV Bible)

God loves you and created you to know him personally.

“God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life” (John 3:16 ESV).

Man is sinful and separated from God, so we cannot know him personally or experience his love.

The Bible says, “All have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:23 NIV1984)

Jesus Christ is God’s only provision for man’s sin.

Through him alone can we know God personally and experience God’s love. Jesus died in our place. While we were still sinners, Christ died for us” (Romans 5:8 NIV). And He rose from the dead.

He is the only way to God. “Jesus said to him, ‘I am the way, and the truth, and the life; no one comes to the Father, but through Me’” (John 14:6 NASB

Yet it’s not enough just to know these truths . . .

We must individually receive Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord, then we can know God personally and experience his love. “As many as received him, to them he gave the right to become children of God, even to those who believe in his name” (John 1:12 NASB).

Jesus is right here with you as you read this today and He is so willing to forgive you when you ask Him, He is inviting you to meet Him.

DO YOU WANT TO BE A CHILD OF GOD AND YOUR SIN FORGIVEN?

Allow me to help you to pray to Jesus Dear God, I’m a sinner. I ___________________am sorry for my sins. I want to turn from my sins. I believe Jesus Christ is your Son. I believe He died for my sin and that You raised Him to life. I want to trust Him as my Savior and follow Him as Lord from this day forward. Jesus, I put my trust in You and I surrender my life to You. Please come into my life and fill me with Your Holy Spirit. I pray this in the name of Jesus. Amen.
