The Message Of God

God’s Love and Why He Created Humanity

From the very beginning, God had a plan—a plan born out of His deep love for mankind. The Bible tells us, “Long before He laid down earth’s foundations, He had us in mind, had settled on us as the focus of His love” (Ephesians 1:4, MSG). He created humanity for intimate fellowship with Himself. In the Garden of Eden, God walked and talked with Adam and Eve in perfect harmony.

But when they disobeyed God’s command, sin entered the world—the very consequence He had warned them about. That single act of disobedience broke the relationship between humanity and our Creator. Sin caused separation. And because God is both loving and righteous, He could not ignore sin.

Scripture says, “The soul who sins shall die.” God’s holiness demands justice, and His righteousness brings judgment upon sin. But here is the good news: God’s love is greater than our sin. He did not abandon us. Instead, He chose to redeem us—those whom He deeply loves—by sending His only Son, Jesus Christ, to take our place.

Jesus came into this world fully God and fully man. He lived a sinless life and became the perfect sacrifice for sin. On the cross, Jesus took upon Himself the punishment we deserved. He was both the righteous Judge and the atoning payment. Why? So that God could reconcile us—restore what was broken and bring us back into relationship with Himself.

This reconciliation doesn’t depend on our works. We cannot earn it. God made the way, and all we are called to do is believe—to trust in Yeshua (Jesus) and ask for forgiveness for not placing our faith in Him sooner.

As John 3:15–18 reveals, God’s heart is not condemnation, but salvation:

“That everyone who believes in Him may have eternal life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through Him. Whoever believes in Him is not condemned, but whoever does not believe stands condemned already because they have not believed in the name of God’s one and only Son.” (John 3:15–18, NIV)

This offer of salvation is extended to all—Jew and Gentile alike. Through faith in Yeshua, we are forgiven, made whole, and welcomed into a living, loving relationship with the Holy One.

A Prayer of Faith to Receive Jesus as Savior

If you are ready to place your trust in Jesus, here is a simple prayer of faith you can pray:

Lord Jesus,
I come before You with a humble heart.
Father God, I believe that You sent Your Son, Jesus, to save me.
Please forgive me for my sins and for not believing in Jesus as my Savior.
Thank You, Jesus, for dying on the cross for me and rising again to reconcile me to God the Father.
Right now, I choose to believe in You, Jesus, as my Lord and Savior.
Please come into my life, make me a child of God, and fill me with Your Holy Spirit.
Help me to live for You from this day forward.
In Jesus’ name, I pray, Amen.
